The reasons for refusing to publish the programs in Bazaar Cafe were explained; 28% participation of people in monitoring programs

In a report titled “Market Performance in Reviewing and Publishing Programs and Games”, Bazaar Cafe discusses the statistics of published and rejected titles and why the published content was rejected. According to the new report of this Android market, in the first six months of 1399, the market has either published or updated more than 36,000 applications, and among these, more than 5,500 new applications were newly released. Also, in these six months, more than 3,000 programs have been removed for violating the rules of Bazaar Cafe, and the security shield of this complex, which has been active for a year, has identified 691 malicious programs. It goes without saying that 28% of malicious programs have been detected by users.

Which categories had the most omissions?

In these six months, 4,256 apps and games have been removed from the market. Sixty percent of these programs involve only 12 developer accounts that have been blocked due to repeated breaches. Most of the programs that were removed from the market end up in educational and religious cases, and in the game section, action and recreational games had the most eliminations in the Android market.

The interesting thing about the Bazaar Cafe report is that 28% of these violations have been reported by users, and this platform has been able to use “collective wisdom” to do so.

Responding to more than 19,000 application and game requests

In the first six months of the year, market developers submitted more than 19,000 requests for the release of 9,915 new apps and games. This means that market experts have reviewed an average of 3,279 requests for new programs and games every month. According to market reports, the team was able to reduce the review time of an application from 72 hours to 24 hours in the first six months of 1999.

According to market statistics, the number of requests for a program is several times higher than the number of games, and the highest number was in the first two months of the year. This trend has continued almost downwards throughout the year and the lowest request for the release of the game occurred in July, and in the process of publishing the program, this statistic will be given to September.

Fortunately, on average, only 22 percent of applications were rejected, a 15 percent decrease over the same period last year. Also, the ratio of approved applications has increased from 62% to 78%. More precisely, 73% of the programs were approved and published, 5% were rejected due to non-compliance with the program publishing rules, and the remaining 22% in the process of correcting the defects went through the publishing process in the following months.

At the end of the six months, 56% of the applications for the new program were approved, leading to the release of more than 5,500 new programs and games on the market, of which 3,683 were registered for the first time in these six months and the rest were applications for the release. They were registered before 1999 and were under review.

What categories belonged to the most titles published in games and programs?

In the games section, 81% of the titles were in the hobby genre and 71% were in the action genre. Since then, more scoring games have received their release approval from the market. Among the game genres, these were the word-style titles that had the highest number of rejections, and 48% of them were rejected and not published.

In the applications section, the purchasing, training and tools categories had the highest number of requests to publish a new application. In this section, most of the red statistics are allocated to programs in the field of entertainment, photography and video.

Reasons for rejecting games and programs

The 5 most common reasons for rejecting a request for new apps by Bazaar Cafe are as follows: It seems that developers should pay attention to these points so as not to get into the problem of rejecting the release of their app from the market.

  • Requires confirmation from the application site
  • Threatened by Android security system
  • Do not cite the source for the content provided in the application
  • Use additional or unrelated access to the functionality of the application
  • Need to implement user privacy rules and regulations

These reasons are slightly different in the game release section, and except for things like being considered threatening and the need to send confirmation and get additional access, a factor such as copying from other games and choosing the wrong category can be seen here. The issue of copying other games is something that seems a little strange.

“Amin Amirsharifi”, the market manager, recently stated at the Iran Mobile Summit event that copying foreign games is not a bad thing and encouraged game developers to do so, and now it seems that doing so is one of the reasons why games are rejected by market agents. Is; Of course, it is possible that the copying of zero to one hundred games caused this rejection.

Market update statistics

In the case of updates, we are on the same side with statistics that are almost identical to the newly released programs. Most of the programs were updated in May, and in games, this statistic belongs to August. Among the programs, the highest status of “need to be corrected” is recorded in the request to update the categories of shopping, tools and education, and among the games in the categories of words and knowledge, hobby and child.

Finance programs with 5.2 updates and strategy games with 4.8 updates during the six months have the highest number of updates among other programs and games.

Here are five common reasons why programs need to be modified: Bazaar Cafe:

  • Use additional or unrelated access to the functionality of the application
  • Use phrases and words unrelated to the content of the program on its market description page
  • All rights reserved
  • Choose the wrong category
  • Threatened by Android security system

In the game section, the reasons for the need for correction are almost very different, and Bazaar Cafe has announced the following:

  • Use phrases and words unrelated to the content of the game in its market description page
  • Use additional or unrelated access to game functionality
  • Forced game closure (bug)
  • Problems with in-app payment performance
  • Refer to other Android markets in the advertising section

Market Security Shield: Warning messages to developers and users

A total of more than 3,000 warning and suspension messages were sent to developers for violating market rules and preventing security issues for users, of which 14% were related to games and 86% to applications. Cases such as malware being detected by the market security shield, sending multiple advertisements, copying other programs, unconventional content, and violating market payment rules were some of the reasons for sending the error message.

The market reported that malware detected in the security shield had an average of 51% reduction in active installation after being removed from the market and alerting users, indicating that users are aware of the security shield alerts.
